# Calendly

> Booked calls land on the lead and pause their sequence, and your scheduling link goes into every email.

export const name_0 = "Calendly"

## Connect

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create a personal access token">
    In Calendly, open **Integrations & apps → API and webhooks** (or go
    straight to [API and webhooks](https://calendly.com/integrations/api_webhooks)).
    Under **Personal access tokens**, click **Generate new token** and copy
    it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Paste it in ManyPI">
    Open **Integrations** in the sidebar, click **Calendly**, paste the token,
    and click **Connect**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

On Calendly's Standard plan and above, ManyPI registers a webhook and bookings
arrive straight away. Calendly's free plan does not offer webhooks, so ManyPI
checks for new bookings every few minutes instead.

## What happens on a booking

* The meeting shows up on the lead's timeline.
* **Pause their campaigns when someone books** (on by default) stops the
  sequence, so nobody gets a follow-up after saying yes.
* **Add new bookers as leads** (on by default) creates a lead for someone who
  books without being one yet.
* Workflows and [webhooks](/integrations/webhooks) can react to it through
  the `meeting.booked` event.

## Your booking link

Under **More settings**, pick the booking page {name_0} should use. Then write
`{{booking_link}}` in any email, or insert it from **Sign off** in the email
editor. Each send fills in that page's address.
