# Instantly

> Move your leads, campaigns and block list from Instantly to ManyPI.

export const tool_0 = "Instantly"

## What comes over

* Every lead with its custom variables
* Campaigns as paused drafts, steps and A/B variants included
* Your block list, bounces and unsubscribes, onto your do-not-contact list
* Leads not contacted yet, queued in the new campaign

## Get your API key

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Settings in Instantly">
    Or go straight to [Integrations settings](https://app.instantly.ai/app/settings/integrations).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go to Integrations, then API Keys" />

  <Step title="Create a key">
    Click **Create API Key**, give it the scope `all:read` (or `all`), and copy
    it.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  Use an **API V2** key. Keys made for Instantly's old V1 API do not work.
</Warning>

## Run the import

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the wizard">
    In ManyPI, open **Integrations** in the sidebar, click **Switch from
    another tool**, and pick {tool_0}.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Paste your key">
    ManyPI checks it and scans the account. Nothing is imported yet: you see
    how many leads, campaigns and do-not-contact entries it found.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose what to bring">
    Everything starts ticked. Untick **Recreate the campaigns**, **Continue
    where they left off** or **Bring the do-not-contact list** to leave any of
    them behind.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Import">
    The import runs on ManyPI's servers. Close the window whenever you like;
    **Integrations** shows its progress until it is done.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## After the import

* Campaigns arrive as **drafts**. Nothing sends until you connect an inbox
  and launch. See [Inboxes and warmup](/outreach/inboxes).
* With **Continue where they left off**, leads {tool_0} had not emailed yet are
  queued in their new campaign, so the sequence picks up when you launch.
* A lead with the same email as one you already have is merged, not
  duplicated. Imported leads count toward your plan's lead limit.
* Custom variables become lead fields with the same names, so the copied
  emails keep their personalization.
* Your key is stored encrypted while the import runs and erased when it ends.
